Moscow said on Monday that four US-made missiles were shot down by Russian air defense systems in the southern Russian region bordering Ukraine. Moscow made such a claim for the first time in nearly 10 months since the start of the war in Ukraine.

The Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement on social media that four American Harm (HARM) anti-radar missiles were shot down in the airspace of Russia’s Belgorod region.

The Belgorod region is regularly attacked by Ukraine, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.
