Tributes at the memorial in memory of martyred intellectuals in Sylhet

Martyr Intellectuals Day is being celebrated in Sylhet with due dignity. Martyred intellectuals are remembered with deep respect on the occasion of the day.

Today Wednesday is Martyred Intellectuals Day. On this day in 1971, the Pakistanis and their subordinates, Razakar, Albadar, etc., carried out massacres with a plot to demoralize this country.

On the occasion of Shaheed Intellectuals Day, tributes are being paid at Chauhattsha Intellectuals Memorial in Sylhet city.

AK Sylhet Divisional Commissioner, Sylhet City Corporation, Sylhet District Administration, Zilla Parishad Sylhet Range Police, Sylhet Metropolitan Police, District Police, Sylhet District and Metropolitan Awami League, Sylhet District and Metropolitan BNP, Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad District and Metropolitan Unit, District Press Club Various political, social, professional, cultural organizations pay tribute.

People from different professions also appeared at the intellectual memorial with flowers and remembered the martyred intellectuals with a humble heart.

Meanwhile, various programs are being held separately in various educational institutions of Sylhet on the occasion of Intellectual Day. Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Sylhet Medical University, Sylhet Agricultural University, Metropolitan University, Leading University, North East University, Sylhet International University, MC College, Government College, Government Women’s College, all educational institutions paid tribute, held black badges, discussed on the occasion of the day. Meetings, Milads and Doa Mahfils have been organized.

In the spirit of the great liberation war, the commitment of all to work unitedly to form a non-communal Bangladesh is being expressed in these programs.
