Debhata Press Club President’s first prize in Youth Media Fellowship
Satkhira Correspondent: Mir Khairul Alam, president of Debhata Press Club, won first place in 5 categories in Youth Media Fellowship. This fellowship was given at the Satkhira Youth Hub in Batkekhali at 11 am on Wednesday by the initiative of Sidor Satkhira, a non-governmental organization in collaboration with ActionAid Bangladesh.
Chief Executive of Sido Satkhira Shyamal Kumar Biswas presided over the event and the chief guest was former president of Satkhira Press Club and own representative of Channel I Ad. Abul Kalam Azad.
Among others present were Madhav Dutt, Executive Director of NGO Swadesh, Farooq Rahman, Satkhira Correspondent of Dainik Prajanm Ekatar, former bank officer Henry Sardar, Project Coordinator Tahiduzzaman (Tahid), Inspector ActionAid Bangladesh Jisan Mahmud, Program Officer Chandra Shekhar Halder and Gias. Uddin and others.
In the fellowship, Mir Khairul Alam, president of Debhata Press Club, representative of Daily Ajker won the first place in the category of women and youth friendly budget review in local government institutions, Asaduzzaman Madhu of Daily Bangla Tribune won the 2nd place in the Prabhat category due to climate change and Mazharul Islam, Deputy Editor of Daily Suprabhat Satkhira, Youth and Women. Bandhav won 3rd position in the Health Care Challenge category.
Apart from this, TV’s Satkhira representative Ahsanur Rahman Rajeev on the obstacles to technical education, Daily Dhaka Times district representative Belal Hossain’s review of women and youth friendly budgets in local government institutions,Ibrahim Khalil, staff reporter of Daily Patradoot, was given special honors for youth inclusion and challenges in social security programmes, Rubel Hossain, special correspondent of Daily Satnadi, for challenges of youth and women-friendly healthcare, Hossain Ali, staff reporter of Daily Patradoot, was given special honors in Prabhat category related to climate change.
