Police patrols have been strengthened in Habiganj to prevent the arrest of BNP leaders and the search of BNP’s central office in Paltan. Meanwhile, Jubo Dal leader Bashir Ahmed Jummon and Zahidul Islam Sagar were arrested by the police in raids at various places. Apart from this, the operation is continuing to catch others.

Police were deployed in various areas including Shaistanagar, New Muslim Quarter, Rajnagar, Chowdhury Bazar, Babystand and were seen searching suspicious people from morning to evening on Thursday. SI Sanak Kanti of Sadar police station arrested the mentioned two people for marching without police permission. According to the police, members of the law and order forces will patrol the city every day to ensure the safety of police personnel.
