The bodies of mother and son were found in the septic tank

Police recovered the bodies of mother and son after four days of disappearance in Sherpur. Their decomposed bodies were recovered from the septic tank of Singhpara rental house in the city on Thursday afternoon.
The deceased are Roksana Begum (35) and her son Rafid Mia (11). The house of the deceased housewife’s father is in Tikkapara of Kharampur city.
The police arrested Mashrek Mia (35), the husband of the housewife who died in this incident. Mashrek is the son of Jalal Uddin of Bhatshala village of Sherpur Sadar Upazila.
Confirming the truth of the incident, Sadar Police Station OC Bashir Ahmed Badal said that for some days Mashrek was living in a rented house in Singpara in Sherpur city with his wife and children. Since then there was a family feud between their husband and wife. His wife Roksana Begum and his son Rafid Mia disappeared mysteriously four days ago. Later, on December 4, the victim’s family filed a general complaint with the police station. On Thursday afternoon, the police conducted a raid and recovered the melted bodies of mother and son from inside the septic tank of Singhpara rental house.
The OC also said that after the recovery of the body, a report was prepared and sent to Sherpur District Sadar Hospital Morgue for post-mortem.
