On Sunday (November 27) morning, Badruzzaman Salim surrendered to the Sylhet Metropolitan Sessions Judge and applied for bail. However, court judge AQM Nasiruddin refused bail and ordered to send him to jail.
Badruzzaman Selim’s lawyer. Al Aslam Mumin said – Salim was on bail for some time in a political case in 2018. An arrest warrant was recently issued against him in that case. Salim went abroad for treatment. After returning home, he surrendered to the court on Sunday morning and applied for bail. However, the judge denied bail and ordered to send him to prison. He was taken to Sylhet Central Jail.
BNP sources in Sylhet city say – Badruzzaman Salim is physically very sick, a ring has been worn in his heart. Salim was abroad for these treatments. Therefore, an arrest warrant was issued against Selim as he failed to appear in court.
