The bridge to Alisha, Rajpara and Hail Howar except Sarkarbazar built on Aliachhara in Srimangal Bhunbir Union of Moulvibazar may collapse at any time. In this situation, people are moving with risk.

People of several villages formed a human chain at Srimangal Sarkar Bazar on Thursday (November 24) to demand the speedy construction of the bridge. At that time, the chairman of Bhunbir Union Parishad, Abdur Rashid, UP member Jasim Ahmed Kamal and hundreds of people spoke under the chairmanship of local youth Kawshar Ahmed.
Speakers said that the middle part of the bridge started to give way in the last 10 years. At present, the median is in grave danger. Even in this situation, thousands of people of that village are moving with small vehicles. It has the fear of accidents at any time. They quickly demanded its removal and construction of a new bridge. Local philanthropist Kawshar Ahmad said that thousands of people travel over this bridge every day. This is the only access road to Alisha village. This bridge built over the Aliachhara in front of this road has been in a dangerous condition for a long time. He said, you have to go to Hail Haw over this bridge. During Buro and Aman seasons, thousands of maunds of paddy are transported through this road. At present, trucks Dyna, pickup cars, private cars, microbuses cannot travel through this bridge. It is very difficult for farmers to bring rice. Even if any goods are taken in the village, the government has to take alternative arrangements by keeping the market. He said that water passes over this bridge during monsoon. Moreover, the bridge moves with the current of water. But people are helpless, so they walk on this bridge at risk. Local UP member Jasim Ahmad Kamal said that not only Bade Alisha, but also Rajpara and several other villages used to come and go through this road.
And Abdur Rashid, chairman of Bhunbir Union Parishad, said that this road ends from Sarkar Bazar to Satgaon Choumuhani. It is the main road for the people of several villages including Alisha. But the filler soil between the bridge built at Aliachhara in front of the road has shifted. Now in danger. He drew the attention of the Srimangal Upazila Chairman and the local parliament member in this regard.
In this regard, Srimangal Upazila Assistant Engineer Monir Hossain said that it is in a dangerous condition and they have also seen it. Already several projects including flood damaged repair projects have been sent up. But not approved. At present, important rural infrastructure development projects have been sent with the DO of the local MP.
