Police have arrested the lover who has been on hunger strike for 10 days demanding marriage in East Belka village of Belka Union of Sundarganj Upazila of Gaibandha and sent her to jail. On the other hand, when the family members of the lover Suaibur Rahman Samu set fire to his house, the local residents arrested Maidul Islam, a relative of the lover Samu, and handed him over to the police station.
On Tuesday (November 23), the police sent the two to jail through the court.
Lover Samu is the son of Rafiqul Islam of that village and is working as a computer diploma engineer in a private company in Dhaka. Both boys and girls are bright.
It is known that the lover Samu brought his girlfriend to his house on November 10 with a promise of marriage after a long four-year relationship. Then he disappeared from home. In this context, the lover was staying at her house demanding marriage for the last 10 days. When the matter became known in the area, Belka UP Chairman Ibrahim Khalilullah and Upazila Parishad Chairman Ashraful Alam Sarkar visited the scene and advised Samu’s father Rafiqul Islam to complete the marriage as soon as possible. At one stage last Sunday, Rafiqul Islam Gaibandha, father of lover Samu filed a case under section 309. The learned trial judge directed the police to rescue the starving lover. According to him, the police rescued the lover on Monday night and sent him to jail on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, on Monday night, lover Samu’s father Rafiqul Islam set fire to his own house to file a conspiracy case. On seeing the matter, the local residents arrested Rafiqul Islam’s relative Maidul Islam and handed him over to the police. Samu’s father Rafiqul ran away. There is a lot of excitement and excitement in the area.
Sarkar Iftekharul Mokaddem, officer in charge of Sundarganj police station, said that the lover was rescued and sent to jail on the orders of the court. On the other hand, the detained Maidul Islam has also been sent to jail under section 151.
