A reward of Tk 20 lakh is given if the two escaped militants are handed over

Bangladesh Police has announced a reward of 10 lakh taka 20 lakh for each of the two militants who escaped from the court.
Two militants escaped from Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate’s Court on Sunday afternoon. The two absconding accused are members of the banned militant organization Ansar al-Islam.
They are — Abu Siddique Sohail alias Saqib alias Sajid alias Shahab and Mainul Hasan Shamim alias Samir alias Imran.
DB chief Harun Aur Rashid confirmed the matter to reporters.
He said that while being taken to the court, the accused escaped by spraying two policemen in the eyes from the gate of the building. We are trying to find the accused around the court. This is the first time such an incident happened in the court premises.
On October 31, 2015, publisher Deepan was murdered in the office of his publishing company Jagriti in Aziz Super Market. The accused who received death sentence in this case are- dismissed Major Syed Ziaul Haque Zia, Akram Hossain alias Hasib alias Abir alias Adnan alias Abdullah, Mainul Hasan Shamim alias Samir alias Imran, Abdur Sabur Samad alias Sujan alias Raju, Khairul Islam alias Jamil alias Jisan, Abu Siddique. Sohail aka Saqib aka Sajid aka Shahab, Mozammel Hussain aka Simon aka Shahriar and Sheikh Abdullah aka Zubair aka Zayed aka Jabed aka Abu Omayer.
The court sentenced all the accused to death in the verdict of the case on February 10.
Among the accused, Zia and Akram are absconding. The rest were arrested and imprisoned. All of them are members of the banned militant group Ansar al-Islam.
The police announced a reward for the arrest of the absconding accused in this incident.
