An expatriate named Abdul Karim (27) was killed in a road accident in Saudi Arabia. The house of the deceased is in North Bisherband village of Paikpara North Union No. 7 of Faridganj Upazila. He is the youngest son of Ibrahim of that village.
About a year ago, this remittance warrior migrated to help his poor family. But in a cruel twist of fate, he tragically died in a road accident on his way home from work last Saturday (November 12) at 9 pm Saudi time.
Meanwhile, even after 6 days of death, the grief of Abdul Karim’s family has not subsided. On Thursday, November 17, when Abdul Karim went to his house, he saw a heart-rending scene. Abdul Karim is the youngest among 6 brothers and sisters. About a year ago, Abdul Karim left his newly married wife Mitu Akhtar and went abroad.
Meanwhile, in the tragic death of Abdul Karim, relatives including parents, brothers and sisters are mourning the entire area. No consolation can stop their crying.
Abdul Karim’s wife Mitu Akhter said in a tearful voice that her husband went abroad soon after marriage. So far only talked to him on the phone. Now I want to see his face for the last time.
Abdul Karim’s father Ibrahim said, “I never thought that I would have to carry the heaviest thing in the world.” There are no words to express the pain of losing my son, I am seeking the help of the government to bring his body to the country soon.
Faridganj Upazila Nirbahi Officer Taslimun Necha said, I have come to know about the information. The family is absolutely destitute. I will contact the higher authorities to bring the body back to the country quickly.
