A human chain was held in Palashbari of Gaibandha district by former chairman of Gaibandha Zila Parishad Ataur Rahman Ata against the false harassment case against 3 journalists of Gaibandha and the terrorist attack on the same journalist of Gobindganj.

Jabed Hossain, general secretary of Gaibandha Press Club, spoke as the chief guest at the human chain organized by Palashbari Press Club and Palashbari Reporters Unity in the afternoon of Friday (November 18) under the chairmanship of Press Club General Secretary Sirajul Islam Ratan and at the invitation of Reporters Unity President Ashraful Islam. General Secretary of Reporters Unity Shahidul Islam, Organizing Secretary Rabiul Islam, General Secretary of Gobindganj Press Club and Gaibandha representative of Mohana TV Russell Mia, Editor of weekly Katakhali newspaper Moazzem Hossain, Masum Billah, Lal Chan Biswas, Ripon Akand, Ismail, Dainik spoke as special guests. The speakers said that the false cases filed against Daily Manabzamin and Machranga TV journalist Siddique Alam Dayal, Anand TV journalist Milan Khandkar, Bangladesh Samachar Patrika journalist Robin Sen for publishing series of reports highlighting the irregularities of various projects during the time of Gaibandha Zilla Parishad former chairman Ataur Rahman Atar. He also demanded the arrest of the terrorists who attacked journalist Enamul Haque of Samakal newspaper for publishing the news of irregularities at work in Gobindganj and demanded the withdrawal of false cases against the journalists.
