Even in 12 years, disabled talented student Babita did not get a wheel chair
Gaibandha Representative/
Physically challenged Babita Akter of Palashbari upazila Betkapa union Muralipur village of Gaibandha district. However, his physical disability could not stop the development of talent. He is incredibly talented.
Babita, a third class student of Muralipur Government Primary School in the upazila, walks to school every day. The gifted student is now unable to go to school due to lack of a wheel chair. A wheel chair can provide the solution. But 12 years later, wheelchairs are still as scarce as ‘golden deer’.
Parents also have no end of pain when they see their daughter in such a situation. They cannot afford to arrange a wheel chair for the girl. Because, Babita’s mother, who is physically challenged, is unable to buy mobility aids for her daughter with a small income.
Babita said, I have continued studying for so long depending on my classmates because I can’t walk. I give them a lot of trouble. If I had a wheelchair, I would not have bothered my classmates.
