Lutfur Rahman (Uzzal): The opening ceremony and discussion meeting was held in Bandarban on the occasion of Fire Service and Civil Defense Week-22 keeping in mind the slogan ‘Let’s reduce accidents, Bangabandhu’s Sonar Bangla Gari’.Deputy Commissioner of Bandarban Yasmin Parvin Tibriji inaugurated the Seva Week on Tuesday (November 15) by flying a dove as a symbol of peace. Superintendent of Police Md.Tariqul Islam,PPM was present as a special guest.

Later,A discussion meeting was held under the chairmanship of Md.Farid Uddin, Assistant Director of Bandarban Fire Service and Civil Defense.Speakers in the discussion meeting said that fire service is one of the government institutions of Bangladesh. Humanity is embedded in their actions.They respond very quickly.They serve people by risking their lives.There have been cases of loss of life while providing these services.

While colleagues lose their lives in various rescue operations including fires and shipwrecks,others do not back down.They finished work and returned.In this regard, Assistant Director of Fire Service and Civil Defense,Bandarban Md.Farid Uddin said, Fire Service and Civil Defense week-22 will be Conclude on Thursday (November 17).
