Md Masnavi ur Rahim Prakash Mucha, the main accused in the murder case of Munsi Zainal Mia in Kulaura of Moulvibazar has been arrested by the police.
On Thursday (November 11), the Kulaura Thana police arrested Md Masnabi ur Rahim Mucha, the main accused in Munsi Zainal Mia’s murder case, from Gaurang Gola village of Kasba upazila of Brahmanbaria district.

Before this, under the direction of Officer OC Md. Abduch Chalek, the investigating officer of the case SI Md. Naemul Hasan conducted an immediate raid and arrested the accused Sharif Mia and Manu Mia.

According to Kulaura police station sources, at 5:40 pm on November 7, the main accused in the case, Md Masnabi ur Rahim, son of Samsul Alam of Pachpir village, stabbed fruit trader Munsi Zainal Miah in Tengra market of Rajnagar upazila of Mucha district with a sharp knife next to Nayabagicha Mustafa Miar’s bungalow of Rangirkul village of Jaychandi union of Kulaura. Cut and seriously injured. Later Munshi Zainal Mia was rescued by locals after being hit in the stomach and died on the way to Kulaura Sadar Hospital. The son of Munshi Zainal Mia, who was killed in the incident, filed a murder case in the Kulaura police station. The arrested accused confessed to the police that he was killed because he owed money to the deceased Munshi Zainal Mia.
