Abdullah Al Mamun, Chapainawabganj: Public Engineering Day and the 52nd anniversary of the Institution of Diploma Engineers Bangladesh (IDEB) were celebrated in Chapainawabganj under the theme of ‘Sustainable Development – Renewable Energy’.

On Tuesday at 11 am, the day was inaugurated by the chief guest member of parliament from the reserved seat Ferdosi Islam Jesi by flying a dove symbol of peace at the Chapainawabganj municipal square.

Later, a colorful rally with horse-carts came out and circled the various roads of the city and met in the closing assembly at the old office premises of the Public Works Department.

Principal of Chapainawabganj Technical Training Center Moin Uddin, vice-president of IDEB district branch Khurshid Alam, convener of District Struggle Council Mehdi Khan, Member Secretary of Bangla Engineer Feroz Hossain, Joint Convener of Sangram Parishad Shafiqul Islam, IDEB Joint General Secretary Md. Nurul Aolia Babul, Bangla Sangram Parishad District Committee Joint Member Secretary Ahsanul Islam, Chamber Director Shahidul Islam Shahid, Chapainawabganj Polytechnic Institute Teacher Mokhlesur Rahman, Mehdi Hasan Shuvo, a student of the same institution and others spoke in the rally held under the chairmanship of Engineer Sadekul Islam, President of District IDEB. General Secretary of District IDEB Engineer Satyajit Roy presided over the rally.
