Ayeshi-luxurious projects cannot be taken: Prime Minister

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has ordered to find uncultivated land scattered all over the country. He ordered to find these uncultivable lands and make them arable with the help of DCs.
The Prime Minister gave this instruction at the meeting of the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) on Tuesday (November 8). Planning Minister MA Mannan presented this information to the journalists after the meeting held at the NEC conference room in Sherbanglanagar.
The Prime Minister said, ‘We have to increase production. Not even an inch of land can be spared. Various types of cultivation should be done on the land. We are going through difficult times. For this we have to be aware of expenses. ‘
The Prime Minister also said that luxury projects cannot be taken up. Big projects cannot be taken up. But small rural projects or welfare oriented projects cannot be compromised. With the global recession going on, there is a need to be frugal along with reducing wastage.
The Planning Minister quoted the Prime Minister as saying that the Prime Minister expressed satisfaction with the strategy with which the Planning Commission has been working for a year.
