A storekeeper named Hafizur Rahman (28) working in Dinajpur BADC committed suicide by jumping under the train due to temporary suspension from his job.

On Sunday (November 6) morning, local residents found his dismembered body lying in the water on the north side of Hiatpur Bridge No. 42 in the 353 km area of ​​Lalmonirhat-Santahar railway in Gobindganj Upazila Shalmara Union of Gaibandhar and under the bridge. Relatives came and identified his body.

Earlier on Saturday (October 5) at midnight, Hafizur Rahman was killed by the wheels of Dhaka-bound Rangpur Express train near Hiatpur railway bridge of Shalmara Union of Gobindganj upazila of Gaibandhar. He is the son of Abdul Khalek of Faliapakurtala village of Kamalerpara union.

The relatives of the deceased said that Hafizur Rahman, who was working as a storekeeper in Dinajpur BADC, was suspended from his job recently for not settling the account of 11 lakh taka. To deposit this money, he came home last Saturday and asked the family to collect 11 lakh taka, and some argument arose with the relatives. Later he left the house around 10 pm without informing anyone.

Family members have alleged that Hafizur Rahman, the father of a one-year-old daughter, committed suicide due to suspension from his job.
