Abdullah Al Mamun: The 51st National Cooperative Day was celebrated in Chapainawabganj under the theme “Bangabandhu’s Philosophy, Cooperative Development”. On this occasion, a colorful rally, discussion meeting and award ceremony were held. These events were organized by the district administration and district social service office on Saturday (November 5) morning.

In the beginning, a colorful rally started from in front of the District Commissioner’s office and went around the various roads of the district city and ended in front of the Bangabandhu stage. Later the national and cooperative flags were hoisted along with the national anthem.

The chief guest spoke at the discussion meeting held at the Bangabandhu stage, Chapainawabganj-1 (Shibganj) Member of Parliament Dr. Shamil Uddin Ahmed Shimul.

Deputy Commissioner AKM Galiv Khan presided over the event. Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Agriculturist Ahmed Mahbub-ul-Islam, District Animal Resource Officer Dr. Md. Mostafizur Rahman, Chapainawabganj Sadar Upazila Executive Officer Md. Roushan Ali, District Cooperative Officer Md. Akram Hossain addressed the meeting.

Later various cooperative societies were awarded for social and economic development.
