The ‘Zone Commander Football Tournament-2022’ has started in the border town of Ramgarh.

On Monday (October 30) at 3 pm in the historic Ramgarh Government High School field, 43 BGB Ramgarh Zone organized the game with the participation of local players along with 12 teams of the upazila. 43 BGB Battalion Captain and Zone Director Lt. Colonel Hafizur Rahman PSC.

The chief guest in the opening ceremony, Zone Commander, said that besides protecting the border, the youth of the area should be more focused on sports and cultural arenas to protect them from drugs. On this occasion, upazila executive officer Md. Khondkar, Ikhtiar Uddin Arafat, Mayor of Ramgarh Municipality Rafiqul Alam Kamal, Officer-in-charge of Ramgarh Thana Md Mizanur Rahman, 43 BGB Assistant Director Raju Ahmed, Ramgarh Station Officer Iftekhar Uddin, General Secretary of Upazila Sports Association were the special guests. Nizam Uddin, Yugmasa editor Mohd Farooq Ahmed, Mohd Masud Rana, member Ratan Vaishnab, Pawan and others.

In the scheduled time of opening game two strong Ramgarh Bazar XI-2 vs Islampur Jubo Sangh- Islampur Jubo Sangh won the game by 1 goal. Habildar Harun and assistant referee Lance Naik Mahbub and Sepahi Jaiful performed the duties of the main referee. Sepahi Rubel, representative of BGB, was the commentator in the game. It was also attended by football lovers from different areas of the upazila, BGB representatives, public representatives, local print and electronic media journalists.
