Criticizing Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader’s speech, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said, “We do politics by selling ancestral property.” BNP leaders and activists are holding rallies by donating their own money. And everyone knows what you (Awami League) do.
He said these things at a press conference after a joint meeting at the BNP central office in Nayapaltan on Sunday (October 30). Before this, he held a joint meeting with BNP affiliated organizations.
Addressing Obaidul Quader, Mirza Fakhrul said, do not attack personally. Everyone knows how many houses, who has how much money, where that money comes from. He said, I don’t want to go into personal attack. It does not fall under political etiquette.
Mirza Fakhrul said, “The country has been pushed towards famine. It is not my words but the Prime Minister’s words. He said, there is no space for political rights, A.League has ruined everything. The electoral system has been destroyed. The nation decided that there would be a 90-day caretaker government during the election. Awami League canceled it. Now they say they didn’t, the court did. A.League wants to fool people to survive.
The Secretary General of BNP said to the government, why are you afraid if you have made so much progress? Because people know that you are corrupt. You know, you can never come to power naturally by voting. So you are afraid to vote.
He also commented that Awami League should be given the Nobel Prize in the disappearance case.
