Press conference in Ullapara to protest against the organization of anti-liberation war activities

A protest meeting and press conference was held in the Sirajganj district command council of the Bangladesh Freedom Fighters’ Children’s Council to protest against the inclusion of the children of freedom fighters in the command list of freedom fighters’ children and the organization of anti-liberation war activities in the name of the organization. The protest meeting and press conference was held at the old bus stand food park and Chinese restaurant in Sirajganj’s Ullapara municipality on Friday evening. Children of freedom fighters of Ullapara upazila organized protest meeting and press conference.
On the occasion, Bakul Hossain, the General Secretary of the Sirajganj District Command Council of the Bangladesh Freedom Fighters Parliament, who recently resigned, read his written statement at the press conference.
He complained and said that there have been several swindling organizations formed in the country with the children of freedom fighters. He alleged that some dishonest people in all these named organizations are distorting the reputation and history of the liberation war by including the names of freedom fighter children for personal gain. He also said that he requested the minister of the concerned ministry and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to cancel the activities of bogus organizations like the Bangladesh Freedom Fighters Congress and conduct all activities through an organization with the freedom fighters’ children. He alleged that the leaders of all these bogus organizations are collecting huge sums of money every month from the children of freedom fighters for running the organization and at the same time they are defaming any person through social media.
