Reserve money not chewed, swallowed: Fakhrul

In response to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s statement, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said that the reserve money was not chewed but swallowed. You have swallowed the entire country’s economy.

The Nationalist Freedom Fighters organized a meeting on the demand of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia’s unconditional release, immediate resignation of the illegal government and fair elections today.

BNP Secretary General said, if Bangladesh cannot be removed from the hands of Awami League today, then Bangladesh will not exist. They have exhausted the entire economy of Bangladesh.

Fakhrul said, we want to know clearly how the money went for Pyara port, where did it go? We know that all goods imported are paid for from reserves. We have to pay the debt that we don’t have with the reserve money. But he (Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina) insisted that the feet were spent on the port. We want to know how it was spent. Who did it, who did it to whom? How did the reserve money go?

Mirza Fakhrul said that the BNP wants to dismiss the government before the national elections and said that there is no election under the government. We must be clear, Parliament must be dissolved. After handing over the power to the caretaker government, a new election commission should be formed through them. Under that Election Commission the people will elect the representatives by exercising their votes.

Addressing the Awami League government, he said, the people of the country will not sit until they resign, until the parliament is dissolved, and until a caretaker government is formed. They will fight, they will struggle. You will be defeated by creating a mass uprising through a peaceful movement.

Addressing the youth, he said, the freedom fighters have achieved the freedom of the country. Now your responsibility is to free the country from this terrible monster through movement, struggle. He will restore democracy in the country and bring back the rights of the people. Let us take back our rights through mass movement.
