Teacher’s Day-2022 was celebrated on Thursday (October 27) in Basail, Tangail, like the rest of the country, keeping in mind the motto ‘The transformation of the education system starts with the hands of teachers’.

On this occasion, a colorful rally was held at 9.30 am on the initiative of Basil Upazila procession. Later, a short discussion meeting was held in the premises of Basil Shaheed Minar. Mashiur Rahman Khan, Principal of Government Jobeda Rubea Mahila College was present as convener. Secondary Education Officer Babul Hasan, Academic Supervisor Al-Amin, Primary Education Officer Sadananda Pal were present on behalf of the procession.
Basil Degree College Principal Jahangir Hossain, Secondary Teachers Association President Mir Moniruzzaman, Madrasah Teachers Association President Hanif Uddin Khan, Primary Teachers Association President Mirza Mosharraf Hossain Khan and others were present. In the teacher’s day discussion meeting, the teacher representatives all discussed the various activities taken by the government to improve the quality of the education system.

On the occasion of Teacher’s Day celebration organized for the first time, several hundred teachers of primary, secondary, higher secondary and madrasah levels of the upazila were present in the said rally and discussion meeting.
