Huge quantity of Indian biscuits recovered in South Surma, 2 arrested

Sylhet’s Dakshin Surma police station has recovered a large quantity of Indian-made biscuits in a raid. 1 truck car and 2 people were arrested.
Son of Rahmad Ali of Rawli village of Doarabazar upazila of Sunamganj district arrested. Al Amin (28) and son of Kushiura village Abdul Hannan. Mosahid (23).
According to SMP South Surma police station, a signal was given to stop a truck carrying goods on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway in front of Al-Noor Community Center in Pirojpur under Surma police station at around 12 o’clock on Monday night. The truck driver and helper were arrested when the car disobeyed the signal and tried to flee at high speed.
During the search of the truck, 10 thousand 560 pieces of OREO Sandwich Biscuits were found in 88 khaki colored cartons, on which CRICKET EDITION OREO Choco Cream Flavored, Mkt by: Mondelez India Foods Private Limited is written in English.
During the operation, the truck Reg.No.-Sylhet Metro-D-11-0297 and recovered biscuits were seized. Case No-17(10)2022 under Section 25-B/25-D of the Special Powers Act, 1974 was filed against the arrested accused at South Surma Police Station.
SMP South Surma Police Inspector (Investigation) Suman Kumar Chowdhury confirmed the operation.
