Nilphamari Jaldhaka students filed a written complaint against the principal of Kaimari School and College, Abdur Rauf Khan, for not returning the money for filling the form. The students mentioned in the complaint that the refund of the unspent portion of the collected money was taken in the 158th meeting of the Inter-Board Examination Control Sub-Committee which was approved in the 582nd meeting of the Inter-Board Sub-Committee.

Complaints have been made to the principal for the refund of the money for filling the form, but no remedy has been found, causing disagreement in the minds of the students. As a result, the students have sent a written complaint to the Executive Officer including the Government Education Secretariat, Directorate of Education, District and Upazila Education Office and sought redressal.

According to the complaint, the government first postponed the examination of the HSC examinees in 2020 due to the outbreak of the Corona virus and later canceled the examination and decided to automatically pass the results of the HSC and JSC examinees. Accordingly, the Ministry of Education enacted a law to refund the students’ answer sheet evaluation fees and practical and center fees. At that time, educational institutions all over the country refunded the money to the students, but for some mysterious reason, the Kaimari School and College authorities did not refund the fees to the students.
Students Hasanur Rahman, Nisad Monir Liku, Tushar Sharma, Kamruzzaman and Naemul Islam said that they were forced to complain to the principal as they did not receive the fee. According to the sources of Kaimari School and College, at that time the number of examinees in the institution was 189. From whom the educational institution collected from 1800 to 22200 taka. Deposits to the fund of the institution on regular and irregular basis are above 3 lakh rupees. Later, the Ministry of Education decided to refund the money to the students, but the students were angry and filed a complaint with various government departments.

In this regard, the principal of Kaimari School and College, Abdur Rauf Khan, told reporters that due to the bank’s mistake, the money due to the students is stuck. Refund is in progress. However, whether the money comes from the bank or not, I will return the money to the students from my own funds within two days.

Upazila Education Officer Chanchal Kumar Bhowmik confirmed the complaint and said that the principal has been administratively reprimanded by mentioning 7 clauses and a detailed reply has been sought from the principal and the notice to show cause has been given by UNO sir himself. Meanwhile, upazila executive officer Mahbub Hasan was contacted on the phone and he said that he is in a meeting – we will talk later.
