Four people sentenced to death in Bogra child rape and murder case

The court sentenced four people to death in the rape and murder case of seven-year-old child Mahi. In addition, each has been sentenced to one year without labor without payment of a fine of one lakh rupees.
Judge Noor Mohammad Shahriar Kabir of Bogra Women and Child Torture Prevention Tribunal No-2 passed the verdict on Sunday (October 23) afternoon.
The accused are Bappi Ahmed (24) son of Mozammel of Nasratpur village of Dhunat Upazila of Bogra, Kamal Pasha (37) son of Dalil Uddin Talukdar, Shamim Reza (24) son of Chanwar Hossain and Lovelu Sheikh (23) son of deceased Saheb Ali.
The Special PP Advocate of the State Ashikur Rahman Sujan confirmed the matter.
According to the source of the case, on December 14, 2020, during an Islamic jalsa in Nasratpur village, the accused called Mahi Umm Tabassum to a nearby school and killed her after asking her to buy nuts. Later the body was dumped in a bamboo grove. The court gave this verdict when child Mahi’s father sued as a plaintiff in that incident.
