Sheikh Russell Day was celebrated through various programs at Srimangal in Moulvibazar.
On Tuesday (October 18) on the occasion of Sheikh Russell Day, organized by Srimangal Upazila Administration and with the cooperation of Directorate of Information and Communication Technology Srimangal, a colorful rally, discussion meeting, cultural event and award distribution were held.
After paying tribute to the portrait of Sheikh Russell in the Upazila Parishad premises, a colorful rally was taken out. Later discussion session, prize distribution and cultural program were held at Victoria High School Auditorium.
The function was presided over by Srimangal Upazila Nirbahi Officer Ali Rajib Mahmud Mithun and Srimangal Upazila Parishad Chairman Bhanulal Roy was present as the chief guest. Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Sandhip Talukdar, Officer-in-Charge of Srimangal Police Station Jahangir Hossain Sardar, Upazila Women Vice Chairman Mitali Dutta, Vice-President of Srimangal Upazila Awami League Dr. Haripad Roy, Secondary Education Officer Dilip Vardhan, Primary Education Officer Zafar Al Sadek, Agriculture Officer Nilufar Yasmin Monalisa Sweety, Fisheries Officer Farazul Islam, Project Implementation Officer Tariqul Islam, Victoria High School Principal Ayan Chowdhury, Chandranath Government Primary School Principal Zahar Tarpadar , Animal Resources Officer Karan Mallick and various government officials and Sudhijan were present.
