Lutfur Rahman (Uzzal): World White Cane Safty Day was celebrated in Bandarban in a joint initiative of District Social Services and Disability Services and Aid Center.On the occasion of the day A discussion meeting was held in the auditorium of the Bandarban District Social Service Office (15 October).

Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) Dr.MD.Sheikh Chadek was present as the chief guest in the meeting Presided Over By Milton Muhuri,Deputy Director of District Social Services Office.

Social service officer Safiqul Islam,Thuy Ching Marma,Satyajit Majumder, disabled person Mukta Roy,visually impaired person Lalhim Bam,social service employee, officials and employees of various NGO organizations from different areas of the district were present.

Speaking at the discussion meeting, Additional Deputy Commissioner Sheikh Chadek said that disabled people are not a burden to the society,they can also work for the society and the country if they get various opportunities and support.
