International Disaster Mitigation Day 2022 has been celebrated in Moulabbiazar. On Thursday (13 October) morning, the day was celebrated through various preventive drills, rallies and discussions on the theme of early warning action for all in Dujorg.

On the occasion of the day, a rally was taken out from the Moulvibazar District Commissioner’s office. District Fire Service Civil Defense organizes various displays of protection during disaster.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Tania Sultana presided over the discussion meeting conducted by Child Affairs Officer Jasim Uddin in the conference room of the district administration. Md. Mohsin of Fire Service and Civil Defense Unit, Additional Superintendent of Police Nasser Mohammad Rikabder and others spoke at this time.
Also, concerned persons of various organizations including district administration, fire service and civil defense, NGOs were present.

Meanwhile, on the occasion of International Disaster Mitigation Day 2022, a rally exercise and discussion meeting has been organized in Srimangal. The rally was taken out from the Upazila Parishad in the morning. Later, a discussion meeting was held at the upazila parishad field during the disaster preparedness drill organized by the fire service civil defense department.
Srimangal Upazila Parishad Chairman Bhanulal Roy was present as the chief guest under the chairmanship of Upazila Executive Officer Ali Rajib Mahmud Mithun and Project Implementation Officer Tariqul Islam. Vice Chairman Haji Liton Ahmed, Officer-in-Charge of Srimangal Police Station Md. Jahangir Hossain Sardar, Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Sajjad Hossain Chowdhury, Agriculture Officer Nilufar Yasmin Monalisa Sweety, Women Affairs Officer Saheda and various Union Parishad chairmen were present.
