Bangladeshi youth killed in BSF firing in Satkhira

A Bangladeshi youth was killed in BSF firing at Satkhira border.
The incident took place in Kaijuri area of India opposite Khaitla border of Satkhira Sadar upazila on Sunday (October 9) around four o’clock in the morning. Doctors declared him dead after taking him to Khulna Surgical Hospital.
The name of the deceased young man. Hasanur Rahman (25). He is from Kushkhali village of Satkhira Sadar Upazila. Son of Hyder Ali.
Haidar Ali, the father of the deceased, said that his son Hasanur Rahman crossed the border illegally a few days ago and went to visit a relative’s house in India because he did not have a passport. Around three o’clock in the morning on Sunday, along with a few companions, Kaijuri was returning home across the Indian border. Hasanu was shot in the chest and seriously injured when the patrolling BSF personnel of India’s Kaijuri camp fired at them around 4 am. He was rescued from the scene and taken to Satkhira Sadar Hospital around 6:30 AM.
