The dead body of the tomtom driver was recovered from Chunarughat

From the bushes of Deundi tea garden in Chunarughat. The police recovered the body of a TomTom driver named Ekhlach Mia (28). The dead body was recovered from the bushes in Sector 15 line area of Bagan on Wednesday night. Later on Thursday (October 6) morning, the body was sent to Habiganj Sadar Modern Hospital morgue for autopsy.
The deceased is the son of Md. Azizur Rahman of Moghapara area of Paikpara union of Ekhlach Mia upazila.
Chunarughat Police Station (OC) Md. Ali Ashraf said that the young man named Ekhlach Mia is a tomtom driver by profession. He had been making a living by playing TomTom for quite some time. On Wednesday morning, he left home with the battery-powered autorickshaw TomTom. Later he did not return home until 10 pm. Since then, his relatives searched many places but could not find him. At one point, locals found the dead body lying in a bush next to sector line 15 of Deundi tea garden. Later when the police was informed, the police recovered the body and took the body to the police station and his family members identified the body.
The OC also said that Ekhlach Mia’s body has several injury marks. The body was found but his tomtom was not found. It is believed that the miscreants may have killed him to rob TomTom. He said that the police are conducting raids in various places along with the investigation to rescue TomTom and catch the killers.
Waheed Ali Master, chairman of the local union council, said that on Wednesday night, the locals informed him after seeing a dead body lying in the bushes next to sector line 15 of Deundi tea garden. Later he reported the matter to Chunarughat police station.
