Sultana Kamal and her companions Awami rights activists: Rizvi
Dhaka/
Senior Joint Secretary General of BNP, Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi commented that the former advisor of the caretaker government, Sultana Kamal and those who are with her are not human rights activists but Awami rights activists.
He said these things at a protest rally organized by Teachers Employees Union on the occasion of World Teachers’ Day in front of the party’s central office in Nayapaltan on Wednesday afternoon.
Rizvi severely criticized the statement of Sultana Kamal interviewed in India Today and said, “When BNP-Yubadal workers were killed in Bhola, Jessore, Munshiganj, Narayanganj, where was Sultana Kamal?” You did not protest, what kind of human rights activist are you? You are Awami rights activists. You are an activist for the rights of Awami League’s interests. The rights of the people of this country are not in you, not in your head. You want Awami League fascism to be in power. You want Awami League to continue torturing and disappearing BNP leaders. Therefore, she wants to sustain Sheikh Hasina by giving interviews in other countries, not in her own country. I condemn and protest Sultana Kamal’s statement.
He said, “Another intellectual, Muntasir Mamun, said that if Awami League is not in power, many people in this country will not be able to stay in the country. Why can’t stay? Ziaur Rahman was in power, you did not work? You were a teacher at Dhaka University during Begum Zia’s rule. Where did you run away? Rather, you have done anti-national work. You and your friend Shahriar Kabir have gone abroad and spread scandal against the country.’
Senior Joint Secretary General of BNP said, “No interview of Sultana Kamal, no denunciation of Muntasir Mamun can upset the democracy of the freedom-loving people of this country.” Rather they are identified today as brokers. Sultana Kamal has also been identified as Dalal today. He does not want the culture of this country, he wants to introduce the culture of another country into the people of this country. And that’s why a murderer has taken a stand for the government.
Addressing the Prime Minister, this BNP leader said, “Martyr President Ziaur Rahman and Begum Khaleda Zia have worked for the development of the people of this country. You just show Sheikh Hasina the flyover. Why show? The reason is that you can loot from here. You (Hasina) couldn’t have a school where you can study for free. These were done by martyred President Ziaur Rahman and Begum Khaleda Zia. So your hatred and violence against Ziaur Rahman, Begum Khaleda Zia, national hero Tariq Rahman.
BNP Vice-Chairman Abdullah Al Noman, Organizing Secretary Abdus Salam Azad, Volunteer Affairs Secretary Mir Sarafat Ali Sapu, Co-Promotion Secretary Agriculturist Shamimur Rahman Shamim and others gave speeches in the protest rally under the chairmanship of Principal Salim Bhuiyan, Chairman of Teachers Employees Union.
