Want to ensure zero tolerance of corruption in police: IGP

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun said, Bangladesh wants to ensure zero tolerance of corruption in the police. I want to make police station a place of people’s trust and confidence. The image of the police depends on the police station.
He said this in response to a question from journalists at the newly appointed IGP’s press conference organized at the Police Headquarters on Tuesday (October 4) afternoon.
The IGP said, I have given instructions at the field level to treat the people well and take legal action by listening to the people. Bangladesh Police is working tirelessly to ensure the peace and security of the country. Bangladesh Police is working with professionalism to ensure security.
