Distribution of DO letter of relief Work (rice) in favor of disaster management on the occasion of Prabarana Purnima
Lutfur Rahman (Uzzal): On the occasion of upcoming Prabarana Purnima (Ashwini Purnima)-2022 celebration,DO letter distribution of Relief work (Rice) has been held.
Minister for Chittagong Hill Tract Affairs Bir Bahadur Ushwe Sing (MP) was present as the chief guest in the program organized by Upazila Administration (Sadar) on Tuesday (October 4).
Upazila Executive Officer Shajia Afroz presided over the event.During this time Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) Dr.Sheikh Md.Chadek,Upazila Chairman AKM Jahangir along with various level officials and public representatives were present.
Speaking as the chief guest,Minister Bir Bahadur said Bandarban district is known as Bandarban district of harmony.To realize the dream of building a prosperous Bangladesh under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina,we people of all religions must work for the development of the country through coexistence.
The minister also said that around the same time the Autumn Durgo Festival is going on,Prabarana Purnima Festival will start after a few days.At the same time,The religious ceremony of Muslims will be held on Eid Miladunnabi.Therefore,a watchful eye should be kept so that the religious seriousness of every religious follower is not insulted in any way.
Minister Bir Bahadur appealed to those who are leading the committees related to religious institutions and said that the unique bridge bond of communal harmony that exists in Bandarban district should be maintained.
On the occasion of Prabarana Purnima,DO letters of 242 metric tons of rice were distributed to 484 Buddhist temples of 7 upazilas of Bandarban.Each Buddhist temple received DO Letters For 500 kg of rice in favor of disaster management relief work (rice).In Bandarban Sadar upazila,144 metric tons,Ruma upazila 84 tons,Thanchi 52 tons,Lama 78 tons,Alikadam 24 tons, Naikhongchari 53 metric tons DO Letters For Rice were distributed On The Occasion.
