Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina returned home from Washington DC at night after completing an 18-day state visit to the United Kingdom and the United States.
A VVIP chartered flight carrying the Prime Minister and her entourage landed at Dhaka’s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 1 am today. live
Earlier, the flight took off from Washington DC at 6:30 pm local time on Sunday (4:30 am on Monday Bangladesh time).
State Minister for Foreign Affairs bid farewell to the Prime Minister at the airport. Shahriar Alam, Ambassador of Bangladesh to the United States Muhammad Imran and Permanent Representative of Bangladesh to the United Nations Muhammad Abdul Muhith. The Prime Minister made a brief stopover in London on his way home from Washington.
Sheikh Hasina left for London on September 15 on a state visit to the United Kingdom where she attended the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II and a reception hosted by King Charles III. On 19 September, he left London for New York.
During his stay in the United States, he addressed the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) on September 23 and participated in several other events.
