Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal MP said, ‘The country is free from militancy and drugs due to sports, cultural and physical exercises. People can be free if they practice sports. The people of the country think that as long as Sheikh Hasina remains the Prime Minister, Bangladesh will be enlightened and the country will move forward.

He said this while addressing the chief guest at the prize distribution ceremony of the final game of the Sheikh Hasina Gold Cup football tournament organized by the Lalmohan Upazila Sports Association at the Sajeeb Wazed Joy Digital Park ground on the occasion of the Prime Minister’s birthday at Lalmohan in Bhola on Friday afternoon. Dhaligaurnagar Union XI won the game by defeating Kalma Union XI by 3-2.

Home Minister said, “This country is Bangladesh of non-communal spirit. Bangabandhu’s dream was to build a country where Hindus, Buddhists, Christians and Muslims all work together. This country is stained with the blood of everyone in the war.

Bhola-3 Constituency Member of Parliament (MP) Nurunnabi Chowdhury Shaon was present as the inaugural function. He said, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is a unique head of state for the sake of the country. The people of the country are safe because he is running the state.

Under the chairmanship of Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Pallab Kumar Hazra and General Secretary of Upazila Sports Association Ahadul Islam Sujan, Secretary of Youth and Sports Ministry Mezbah Uddin, Barisal Range DIG SM Aktaruzzaman, Deputy Commissioner Tofiq e-Lahi Chowdhury, District Superintendent of Police Mohd. Saiful Islam, Upazila Parishad Chairman Ghiyasuddin Ahmed, Vice Chairman Abul Hasan Rimon, Upazila Awami League General Secretary Fakhrul Alam Howladar and others.
