CID’s request to remand Chairman Mahbobul in money embezzlement case

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) wants to remand the Chairman of Mirpur Union Parishad of Jagannathpur Upazila of Sunamganj, Mahbobul Haque Sherin, who was arrested in the case of embezzlement of hundreds of crores of expatriates in the name of housing business.
Last Wednesday (September 28) around 2:30 in the night, he was arrested from his home in Sriramsis and taken to court that day. Meanwhile, the investigating officer of the case applied to the court to remand the fraudulent chairman Sherin.
CID Sylhet Metro Special Superintendent of Police Sujyan Chakma confirmed the matter on Friday (September 30). He said – “Investigating officer has applied for remand in the learned court. No hearing yet. If the learned court grants remand, we will bring him and interrogate him.
He also said that there are 4 cases against Chairman Sherin including this case. We have applied to the head office for permission to investigate other cases. If approved, we will investigate the other cases.
According to the related sources – against Chairman Sherin, Ambarkhana Housing Associate Private Limited, adjacent to Ambarkhana Point in Sylhet city. By showing interest in investing in a company called ‘Company’, many expatriates including the plaintiff in the case were to be made directors of the company and snatched crores of rupees from them. Along with this case, SMP’s airport police station has 3 more fraud cases under investigation. After filing the case, accused Shereen has been giving death threats and intimidation to the plaintiff. To arrest Chairman Sherin on the specific charges of committing these crimes, on Wednesday (September 28) at 2:30 in the afternoon at his house in Sriramsi village of Jagannathpur’s Mirpur Union, investigating officers of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Police Inspector (retd.) Sheikh Mohammad Rubel and Police Inspector (retd. .) Shah Muhammad Mubaswir. Meanwhile, Chairman Sherin was arrested from his home. Jagannathpur Thana Police assisted the CID in the arrest operation.
