BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said that the National Assembly elections will not be allowed in this country without a caretaker government. Because, the people of the country could freely exercise their right to vote in the elections held under the caretaker government. In the elections held during the Awami League government, it was seen that people were prevented from voting by their goon forces or police forces. Or played a farce with the people by voting the night before.

He said that Awami League leaders and activists have understood that they will not be able to come to power again if elections are held under a non-partisan and impartial government. That is why they are so afraid of a caretaker government. And Awami League will not get more than 30 seats if the national elections are held under the caretaker government.

Mirza Fakhrul said, we did not get this country at the mercy of anyone. We made the country free by the liberation war, not for looting the country by the Awami bandit forces. Today people all over the world know that human rights are being violated in Bangladesh, there is no democracy here. Three activists of Juba Dal and Chhatra Dal have already been shot dead as the BNP has started a movement against the establishment of voting rights of the people of this country, against the increase in the prices of fuel, electricity, gas, rice, pulses, oil, fertilizers and other daily necessities. But the current illegal government could not stop our movement.

He further said that the movement will not be called, the movement that has started will continue. Looting and corruption will not continue in the country, people are starting to wake up, please go away. Bring back caretaker government by immediate resignation and dissolution of parliament.

Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said these things in the speech of the chief guest at the Milad Mahfil and discussion meeting held at Ghagtia Chala Welfare Ground in Kapasia, Gazipur, on the occasion of the sixth death anniversary of ASM Hannan Shah on Friday afternoon.

He said, Brigadier General ASM Hannan Shah was a fearless brave soldier. He has played the role of a true patriotic leader in the critical moments of the party and the country. Referring to the reign of the current ruling party as a period of terrible hardship and imprisonment, Mirza Fakhrul Hannan expressed his deep lack of Shah.

Under the chairmanship of Gazipur district BNP president Fazlul Haque Milan and moderated by Kapsia upazila BNP general secretary and former upazila parishad chairman Khandkar Azizur Rahman Pera, joint secretary of BNP executive committee Khairul Kabir Khokon, social service affairs secretary Kamruzzaman Ratan, joint organizing secretary Benazir Ahmed Titu, spoke among others. Humayun Kabir Khan, co-editor of labor affairs, co-editor of health affairs. Rafiqul Islam, executive member Omar Farooq Shafin, Kazi Syedul Alam Babul, Md. Shah Riazul Hannan Riaz is the general secretary of Gazipur District BNP, son of Mojibur Rahman and Hannan Shah.

Before the discussion and Milad Mahfil, the leaders and activists of BNP and other organizations laid wreaths at Hannan Shah’s grave.
