International Right to Information Day 2022 was celebrated at Srimangal in Moulvibazar. This year the theme of the day is ‘Ensure people’s right to information in the age of information technology.’

This day is being celebrated internationally every year to raise the awareness of the people of different countries of the world about the right to know all kinds of information about their respective countries.

On Wednesday (September 28) at 11 am, a discussion meeting and rally organized by upazila administration and conscious citizens committee (SANAK) was held in Srimangala on the occasion of the day.

At the end of the rally, Upazila Parishad Chairman Bhanulal Roy was present as the chief guest in the discussion meeting chaired by Upazila Executive Officer Ali Rajib Mahmud Mithun. Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Sandeep Talukdar, Upazila Parishad Vice Chairman Haji Liton Ahmed, Women Vice Chairman Mitali Dutta, Agriculture Officer Nilufar Yasmin Monalisa Sweety, Retired Teacher Dwipendra Bhattacharya, Teacher Zahar Tarpadar, OC Operations Fazlul Haque, Mirzapur UP were present. Chairman Michlu Ahmed Chowdhury, Rajghat UP Chairman Vijay Bunarji, Satgaon UP Chairman Debashish Deb Rakhu etc.
