The cyber crime investigation cell of the police has arrested a young man named Shyamal Ahmed (23) from Bancharampur of Brahmanbaria district on the charge of cheating with girls by using other people’s pictures on social media Facebook.

Recently, a young woman filed a case against four people including the young man in Bhola for cheating. Besides, last Thursday (September 22), a young man also made a general diary against them at Habiganj Sadar Model Police Station.

According to the general diary and the complaint of the case, four youths including Shyamal Ahmed opened several fake IDs on Facebook using the picture of a youth for about a year. Through these they develop romantic relationships with girls and extort money by threatening to spread screen shots of intimate moments in video calls. After the girl filed a case at Bhola police station, Shyamal was arrested by Cyber ​​Crime Investigation Cell of Bhola district. The remaining three are still absconding.

Meanwhile, the victim of harassment. Musa Obirub Islam Khan Ishat said that four fraudsters including Shyamal have opened fake IDs on Facebook using his picture. They are still active. He was harassed by it.

In this regard, Habiganj Sadar Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Golam Mortuza said, Md. Musa Obirub Islam Khan Ishaat after making a general diary, the police started investigating it. I heard that one person involved in the fraud has been arrested.
