2 people were killed and 3 injured in a clash due to a land dispute in Rajnagar of Moulvibazar. Police arrested 3 people in this incident.

The incident took place in Tulapur village of Fatepur union of Rajnagar upazila of Moulvibazar on Friday (September 23) afternoon. There is tension in the area due to this incident.

Locals said that after Friday prayers, a clash between the two sides broke out due to past enmity. Meanwhile, both sides armed with indigenous weapons clashed on the road in front of Tulapur Primary School. Helal Mia (40) and Kajal Mia (25) were seriously injured during the clash in the afternoon. When the injured were taken to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital, the doctor on duty declared them dead.

In this incident, UP member Lutfur Rahman and 3 people were injured.

Officer-in-charge of Rajnagar police station Binaybhushan Roy said that the clash took place over a land dispute. He also said that 3 people involved in the incident have been arrested.
