BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir commented that Bangladesh should be brought back by struggle. He said, ‘People of Bangladesh want to form the government through elections. Will that election be under a one-party government? So today’s fight is not a single fight. BNP is trying with all its strength in that fight.
He said these things in a memorial meeting at Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) office on Saturday (September 17) at noon. Alleging various irregularities and corruption against the government, BNP Secretary General said, “The government has divided the state system by partying.”
He said, I sometimes say that it is a waste of time. They (government) are ruining everything. There is no place for lying, graft, corruption that is making any effort to rid the country.
Mirza Fakhrul said, you will not get justice if you go to court. You will go to law enforcers for security, you won’t get security there – first you will say – you don’t do BNP, do Awami League.
He also said that nothing will happen if BNP does it, and will file a case against you. In Dhaka South, three boys of the student group were going home at night when they were attacked and injured. A case has been filed against them.
BNP Secretary General said that the government has divided the entire nation in the last 12-15 years. You will not find a place where you will see that there is no division. He has divided this Awami League and all other opposition everywhere.
In memory of late Gazi Mazharul Anwar, member of BNP Chairperson’s Advisory Council. The memorial meeting was held under the initiative of Khandkar Musharraf Foundation. Gazi Mazharul Anwar breathed his last on September 4.
Calling Gazi Mazharul Anwar as a lighthouse, Mirza Fakhrul said, he was like a star in front of us, he was a lighthouse. We will never find such people again.
He said, we are inspired by his songs, we are inspired by his character, we are inspired by his work. Khandkar Mosharraf Hossain, chairman of the foundation and member of the standing committee of BNP, highlighted the colorful life and work of late Gazi Mazharul Anwar.
