Organized by Caritas Bangladesh Sylhet Region in Moulvibazar Srimangal, rallies, discussion meetings and educational materials were distributed to raise awareness about the situation and rights of the disabled, drug addicts and the elderly.

Upazila Parishad Chairman Bhanu Lal Roy, Srimangal Rajgat Union Parishad Chairman Vijay Bunarjee and Karitas Regional Director Bonifas Khangla spoke as chief guests at the discussion meeting chaired by Upazila Nirbahi Officer Ali Rajib Mahmud Mithun at Mohsin Auditorium of Srimangal Municipality yesterday afternoon. During this time, 24 disabled students were supported with scholarships and educational materials.

Earlier, a colorful rally took out from Srimangal Municipality and circumambulated the main thoroughfare of the city. The speakers said that disabled people are not like healthy normal people. They cannot enjoy everything as healthy people can. So we have to show them our love. During this time, various problems and positions of drug addicts and seniors of Moulvibazar district were highlighted.
