Inauguration of Cyber Forensic Lab in Sylhet

Cyber forensics lab has been inaugurated in Sylhet. On Wednesday (September 14) around 12 noon SMP Commissioner. Nisharul Arif inaugurated this ‘Cyber Forensic Lab’ at the Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) office of SMP. Through this, the SMP police took another step forward in identifying the criminal.
The opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Commissioner (DB) Tofail Ahmed, Deputy Commissioner (South) Md. Sohail Reza PPM, Deputy Commissioner (E&D) Muhammad Abdul Wahab, Additional Deputy Commissioner (DB) and Cyber Forensic Lab Commander Shahriar Al Mamun and trained police personnel of the Cyber Lab.
According to SMP sources, this is the first time that a ‘Cyber Forensic Lab’ has been launched in a police unit in Sylhet. The police will be able to quickly identify and arrest criminals in the cyber world through this lab equipped with modern equipment. The lab was launched to prevent criminals from committing crimes and to prevent the same criminals from committing criminal acts over and over again. No matter where the criminal is located – using a special app will identify the criminal in the fastest time. His movements and location will be known.
