Four people, including three farmers, were killed in separate road accidents in Kushtia. At least 12 people were injured in two separate accidents around 4:30 am on Monday. The injured have been taken to the 25-bed Kushtia General Hospital.
Officer-in-charge (OC) of Kushtia Highway Police Station Idris Ali confirmed the information of four people killed in a road accident on Monday (September 12) morning.
The deceased are Ghaffar (38), son of deceased Bari Dafadar, son of Azil Paramanik, Sanwar (40), son of Azil Paramanik, and the other person’s name is Zahid.
Police and eyewitnesses said that three farmers were going to Kumarkhali to buy onions in an engine-driven Nasimonyog. A three-way collision between a Nasimon-van and a truck took place at Alauddin Nagar in Kumarkhali. Nachiman and the van were twisted and the truck overturned and fell into a nearby ditch. Three farmers in Nachiman were killed on the spot. At least nine people were injured.
