Bangladesh will help maintain world peace: PM

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina reiterated her firm belief in maintaining world peace and said that Bangladesh will always help in maintaining world peace. He said, ‘It is our constitutional obligation that Bangladesh will always help maintain global peace. Our army has been playing a major role in global peacekeeping operations under the United Nations. We want to maintain it.’

The Prime Minister said this while addressing the chief guest at the inaugural function of the 46th Indo-Pacific Armies Management Seminar (IPAMS)-2022 at Radisson Blu Hotel in the city. The Prime Minister attended the function virtually from his official residence Ganabhaban. Bangladesh Army is jointly organizing this international seminar with 27 countries including the United States. Khabar bus.

Sheikh Hasina said, Bangladesh is well-known around the world today for its great contribution to peace support activities.

He said, “Bangladesh Army is always ready for the peace of the country and the world in the UN mission and anywhere in the world.”

The Prime Minister noted that security dynamics in today’s world are constantly changing and becoming more complex day by day. He said, “Any conflict or crisis affects every nation in the world, it significantly hinders the security and stable development of the states.”

Pointing out that Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was a firm believer in multilateralism, Sheikh Hasina said, in his first speech at the United Nations General Assembly in 1974, he (Bangabandhu) uttered the essence of our foreign policy: ‘Friendship to all, enmity to none’.

He called upon world leaders for honest and peaceful regional and global cooperation while respecting the sovereignty of states.
