A collision between a bus and an ambulance took place in Taraganj of Rangpur. It is said that three people were killed.

An ambulance was hit by a bus in the early hours of Sunday (September 11). Three people including a newborn, the driver of the microbus were killed. Earlier, 10 people were killed and more than half a hundred people were injured in a head-on collision between two buses here on Monday (September 5).

Police and locals said that a passenger bus named Bhai Bhai Pariban bound for Dinajpur from Dhaka hit a microbus from Nilphamari heading to Rangpur near Kharuavaj bridge near Taraganj highway police station on Dinajpur-Dhaka highway, killing three people including the driver of the microbus, Rafiqul, a seven- to eight-day-old newborn. . Five seriously injured people have been admitted to Rangpur Medical College Hospital.

Doctor Safiul of the emergency department of the hospital said that three people died on the way to the hospital. Two people have been admitted to hospital. Their condition is critical.

Taraganj Highway Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Sheikh Mahbub Morshed said that immediately after the accident, the injured were rescued and sent to the hospital and the bus and microbus were removed from the road and traffic was restored. Last Monday too, 10 people were killed in a head-on collision between two buses at the same place.
