The Oscars, the world’s most prestigious award, will be held in March next year. For the 95th Oscars, the Bangladesh Committee has invited Bangladeshi films made in Bengali language in the Best International Feature Film (Foreign Language Competition) category of the Oscars.

According to a press release, any full-length film with English subtitles, which has been released before November 30 of this year in theaters in Bangladesh for seven consecutive days, can participate in the selection process.

Film producers interested in participating in this selection process are requested to collect the movie submission form and detailed rules from Ashirbad Films (7/9 Irstan Commercial Complex, 73 Kakaril) and submit it by 5 PM on Thursday, September 15.

Like every year, an 8-member committee has been formed under the initiative of Bangladesh Federation of Film Societies to nominate Bangladeshi films in the Best International Feature Film (Foreign Language Competition) category of Oscar, with film personality Habibur Rahman Khan as the chairman.

The 95th Academy Awards will be held on March 12, 2023, organized by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. The award will be given to 24 branches at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, California. Best International Feature Film is one of them.
