The economic impact of the war in Ukraine has been hard on Kiev’s allies, but the British ‘gotten the money’ and the Ukrainians ‘gotten the bodies’. The first lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska made this comment, the British media The Guardian reported this information in a report.
In an interview given to the BBC, Zelenska said that if support for Ukraine is strengthened, the crisis will be reduced.
When asked what message she wants to convey to the British people regarding the increased electricity bill burden in Britain due to Russian aggression in Ukraine, the First Lady of Ukraine said, I understand the situation is very difficult. But I remind you that during the Covid-19 pandemic, when commodity prices rose, the effect was also felt in Ukraine. Still the price of goods in Ukraine is high. As an added burden, the people of Ukraine are being killed. So when you count money in your bank account or in your pocket, we do the same. Also we count casualties.
