BNP-Police clash in Narayanganj, firing: 2 killed, hundreds injured

Two Chhatra Dal leaders were killed in police clashes and firing with BNP activists in Narayanganj. Local sources reported this news.
When the police opened fire to bring the situation under control, several local people including Azmir Islam, district correspondent of Mohana TV, were shot dead.
Nazmul Hossain, the doctor in charge of the hospital, confirmed that two people were killed in the clash on Thursday (September 1).
The deceased are – Farooq Khan Sujan, joint convenor of Chhatra Dal of Govt. Tolaram College and Shaon, Chhatra Dal leader of Ward No. 3 of Enayetnagar, Fatulla.
Besides BNP activists, several students of the local Morgan school fell ill in the police’s momentary tear shells.
Monirul Islam Ravi, Acting Convener of District BNP, said that Shaon, the Chhatra Dal leader of our Enayatnagar Ward No. 3, died after being shot. Hundreds of leaders and activists including Rakib Raj, vice-president of our district Chhatra Dal, were injured. Hundreds were shot.
It is to be noted that the clash started at around 10:30 am in the No. 2 railway gate area of the city.
